girljournals:

We need to start analyzing individual men as active perpetrators of patriarchy rather than just innocent “victims” of it. The idea that the patriarchy is a structure that only exists in an abstract way and sometimes possesses “innocent, kindhearted men” to do bad things rather than an inherent & unavoidable part of their position & social programming will not make men unlearn themselves. On the contrary, it will only make them find excuses for their behavior that maintain their innocence.

Assuring men that, when generalizations are made, they are aimed at “the structural masculinity” rather than each and every individual man who inevitably has learned these behaviors only makes men think that their supposed “awareness”, and their tolerance of generalizations absolves them of being the intended target of said generalizations. This, be it consciously or subconsciously, makes them think that their position (though it is the same) is not as harmful as that of other men, and thus that there is not as much harm in their supposedly ”accidental” and “innocent” sexist actions and their consequences. Absolving individual men of collective responsibility enables them to continue with harmful behaviors.

The way we perceive time and history is so weird
I get so tripped out when I think about how Cleopatra lived closer tot he iPhone being invented than she did to the Great Pyramids being built. Or how Stonehenge would have already been ruins when Jesus walked the earth or how Oxford University is older than the Aztec Empire or how Anne Frank and MLK were born in the same year like man this it’s all so crazy

Hades: didn’t force himself on his soon-to-be wife
Hades: is faithful to his wife
Hades: spends his time chillin in the Underworld
Hades: doesn’t really get involved in the shitstorms other gods cause
Hades: is just in putting punishments over to sinners
Hades: technically all harsh punishments were made by his wife
Hades:
Hades:
Hades: is the antagonist in every media about greek gods

  • fetuses do not think
  • they do not “scream out” when they are aborted
  • they have no brain function and no nerve endings until long after the deadline for a legal abortion
  • they aren’t “sad” when you abort them
  • they do not “realize what is happening”

And these aren’t my beliefs, they’re scientific facts
