bizarreism:

The Dutch band Gulaggh (formerly Stalaggh) have four albums and one EP made up of nothing but the screams of mental patients, rape victims, ex-prostitutes, and children also suffering from mental illnesses. The band says that using real people means real pain and suffering.

During one recording session, they filled a room with 30 children and three supervisors who asked the children to scream as loud as they could. Many of the children became too emotional and scared, except for one girl who sat, clawing on the floor until she bled, all while screaming. During another session, the band learned the story of one of their vocalists, a 16-year-old boy accused of stabbing his mother 30 times after being molested by his uncle nearly all his life. The recordings are bone-chilling tracks filled with real suffering and despair. The band, who remains completely anonymous, says that they will “cease to exist” when their project is finished.
