#god like there is such a difference between this guy and who dean is now #it’s all in the eyes #he looked at things differently #at sam lovingly #at the job enthusiastically #at women appreciatively #at everything with a lot more enthusiasm #and even back then he was tired and damaged #but now he’s so weary and almost vacant #he doesn’t make the jokes he used to make #he doesn’t look at sam the way he used to #he doesn’t chase after girls or stuff his face with candy #he refound his enthusiasm for the job #but that’s all there is now #that’s it
#can you imagine being sam and knowing that #knowing that your brother is so empty #knowing he loves you but never really seeing it in his eyes or hearing it #and wondering how you could have prevented it #prevented that pain and suffering #and feeling helpless and alone because there’s nothing you can think of to do to help him #but he’s your everything and you would literally give anything to make him happy again
