Most of the time, Sam and Dean only hug it out after going through extreme circumstances. This makes them all the more special.

They really had no need for a bed…It had been a long time since either brother had required sleep.
Years of drinking Dean’s demonic blood had turned Sam into something so far from human, the label didn’t apply to him at all anymore.
But they did have a bed… With a memory foam mattress and plush pillows, tucked away where no other man or demon was allowed admittance.
After squashing a minor rebellion among the demonic throng, or ending an angel that dare oppose their rule, Dean would beckon Sam off the throne and into their bed.
They spent slow, tireless hours exchanging easy touches and affectionate kisses. Just a reminder how they were never and would never be gentle and loving with any other being than each other. They had always been bound, and when one started to fall, the other held on and fell with him. Neither regretted it… Not really.
They lived life by their own terms, together. And they would have together forever.
Sam painted purple splotches across Dean’s neck with slow sucks that always left Dean purring. From ear to color, love marks for the world to see.. Sam was king, but Dean ruled with him… And any demon that had been mistaken about that hadn’t survived long after.
Dean tangled his fingers in Sam’s hair, whispered love and affection in his ear, with inky black eyes that were just as devoted as his bright green ones had been.
They’d make love for hours- never exhausting- moving together in perfect sync the whole while. When they were finally spent, they didn’t drift off to sleep… Dean just held his little brother to his chest, limbs tangled and smiling lips occasionally finding each other for more lazy kisses.
They were united. Nothing threatened to part them and live and nothing ever did.
