Okay head canon time! The reason Sam looks so indignant whenever Dean calls him a nerd/geek/dork is because when they were growing up, Dean was always the one who got excited about nerdy stuff. Whenever there was a comic book store in town they’d stop by and Dean would pick up a 50-cent comic book to read, and he loved to go see the new superhero movie that came out in theaters and dragged little Sam with him. That is all.
